8th – 11th October – AutoFloodguard took part in Invest NI’s export development programme ‘Going Dutch’.

Accompanied by five other export focused companies from Northern Ireland, we spent four days in the Netherlands with each company having its own individual itinerary of meetings with potential customers and partners.

The Going Dutch Programme provided us with a novel opportunity to showcase AutoFloodguard to buyers from the Netherlands and Benelux region. We were given a unique insight to the physical market, confirming a number of significant opportunities for AutoFloodguard overseas as we met with a number of potential installation partners intrigued by the passive nature of our solution.

The programme also allowed us to benefit from expert advice and practical in-market support from Invest NI and their consultants in the Netherlands NITC B.V.

The visit followed a series of training sessions provided by the NITC & Invest NI in the weeks leading up to the trip and follow-up meetings with Invest NI on our return to Northern Ireland.

‘Going Dutch’ is an excellent programme for any business considering exporting; it provides the right level of support to establish if there are export opportunities for participating companies.

AutoFloodguard were delighted to have met a number of interested companies and we look forward to developing these relationships in the weeks ahead in order to establishing a firm route to the European market.

We would like to thank Steve Murnaghan and the team at NITC B.V., Sandra Kelly of Invest NI and the organiser of the programme as well as Amy Dalton, the Belelux Regional Director for Invest NI for providing such an engaging and supportive programme.

We would also like to thank Dennis, Stephen, Richard, Karen, David & James – our fellow participants of this year’s Going Dutch programme for sharing their advice and experiences and wish them every success in the future.
